Fernanda Covarrubias at the Neo Culture Runway — PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2026
On 28 February 2026, Fernanda Covarrubias presented a selection of looks at the Neo Culture runway, part of the Independent Programme of PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
The runway took place outdoors at the Royal Exhibition Building on the closing day of the festival and marked the first edition of the Neo Culture runway, bringing together several Melbourne designers to showcase independent fashion.
The four looks presented by Fernanda were created from a mix of archived pieces from previous collections, new designs from her upcoming collection, and garments generously lended by clients. Many of these pieces had undergone extensive couture upcycling in her Melbourne atelier, where existing garments were transformed through sculptural techniques and voluminous textile work.
The presentation reflected Fernanda’s signature approach — reinvention, craftsmanship, and giving new life to garments through bold transformation.
