Let’s be honest! there is nothing like wearing a faux fur coat in winter. They are an easy way to look chic when it is brutally cold outside.
They can elevate your outfits in mere minutes and, they are also the coziest jackets to wear all season long.
These fun and stylish pieces have been a favorite among fashionistas for decades, and this year isn’t the exception.
Pinks, bright navies, animal prints, can update your look but, neutral colours like grey, black, and white are the classics that will never go out of style.
I know you may think they are reserved just for special occasions or, that the only way to make them look casual is by wearing them with jeans and sneakers. I also know that having a print fur coat can be even more challenging to style, as it may look a bit out there.
But, stay with me and I will share with you 3 simple tips, that will help you out to style your fur coat, in a chic, yet edgy, and comfortable way.
So, If you have any of these at home, it is time to pull it out of your wardrobe and have fun with it, trust me you won’t regret it!
-Pull out of your wardrobe your favorite skirt! It can be a pencil skirt, long skirt, or even a mini, just make sure you are wearing tights, otherwise, you will freeze, and the whole point of wearing a cozy jacket will be missed. Another option and the one that I choose, was a Vintage midi skirt in black as it matches the print of my jacket, as well as the print in my Praga Top.
-Boots are your best friends when styling any skirt and a fur coat in winter. Forget about your sandals or your open heels, the easiest way to keep the stylish look are a killer pair of boots, you can opt for heels as long as you are pairing them with tights in a matching color, rather with your jacket, your shoes, or even your top. Think about your shoes as an extra accessory to bring fun into your outfit!
– Layers, layers, layers! yes, add some layers but, make sure you are wearing at least one fitted garment otherwise you will look shapeless.
Rather is the waist pf your skirt, or a fitted top, just follow this simple rule to keep a more balanced silhouette.
Remember when pulling out your outfits is all about balance, not about size.
