5 Top Tips to Wear a Midi Skirt.

Let’s face it, the midi is a wear-anywhere piece.
Versatile as it is since it can be easily styled from the office to evening, to weeding and to the beach. The midi has that feminine and elegant touch that any other garment can give us since this trend has never gone away. It is a classic!!
but I know wearing a midi skirt can be terrifying for some of us due to its length, especially if we’re petite. However, if you keep in mind the following advice, I’m sure you will nail it.
So here they are my 5 tips to smash that midi skirt look:

1-Opt for an A-line silhouette.

It is universally flattering and is the perfect silhouette for almost every body type. It accentuates your waist and flares out at the bottom to create a simple and feminine style.

2-Choose the right length.

Without exception,  your midi skirt should either hit just below the knee or just below the widest part of your calf, which most of the times is just right below halfway between the knee and the ankle.

3-Stay away of bulky tops.

Never under any circumstances consider wearing a bulky top with your midi skirt. You already have all the volume you need at the bottom of the skirt, it doesn’t matter how tall you are, your midi skirt will never look as good with a bulky top, than it will with a fitted one. In case you decide to give it a go, make sure you wear a belt around your waist to keep that hourglass shape.

4-A single colour from head to toe can actually work! But you need to bring a pop of colour!!

If you have been here for a while you already know I’m all about neutrals, especially black, and this styling is not the exception. Nevertheless, as usual, you have to relay in bringing different textures, just as I did with the gold dots texture chiffon of my midi skirt and a pop of colour like this red clutch bag. Remember you can always bring those bright, colorful elements but, they don’t necessarily mean to be big. As in any “All in Black” Outfit, I recommend it in small accents, ( handbag, belt, earrings, sunglasses) just to balance out the black.

5-Rock your shoes, but not too much!

The shoes you style your midi skirt with can make or break your look. You want to choose a pair that is eye-catching enough to draw attention to the lower part of your outfit, but nice and simple. You have to let your skirt do the talking and keep your look balanced with a put-together finish. That is why I wore this Ankle Strap Pointed Toe Pump in black, they are stylish and classic at the same time.

I hope you found my 5 Top Tips handy since I think they are the easiest and the best that you will find around! since I know this sort of skirts can be a nightmare for many women, and let me know in the comments below if there is any other outfit that you have trouble styling, I love reading them, and that gives me the idea on what you wanna read next guys!

Cheers.
